MIR and Locus Health, a new partnership to advance remote respiratory monitoring

MIR spirometry technology has been integrated into Locus Health, a US Based leader in integrated remote patient monitoring (RPM) solutions.

This collaboration brings enhanced respiratory monitoring capabilities to the Locus Health platform, supporting clinical teams in delivering timely, data-driven care to both pediatric and adult patients at home and in clinical settings.

The enhanced solution is being implemented at several major Locus Health partner institutions, including several in Virginia, Texas, and Massachusetts, with broader deployment expected across Locus partnered health systems during 2026.

Spirobank Smart

The integration features the FDA-cleared Spirobank Smart, MIR’s portable, app-enabled spirometer offering accurate lung function measurements (PEF, FEV₁, FVC, etc.) via Bluetooth connection with the Locus app via a smartphone or tablet.

This will enable care teams to remotely track lung performance and oxygen saturation levels with ease, improving oversight and response for conditions such as asthma, COPD, Cystic Fibrosis, and longer post-COVID, or respiratory recovery.

Key Features:

  • Bluetooth connectivity for secure, real-time data transfer
  • ATS/ERS-compliant spirometry
  • Portable, patient-friendly design for at-home use
  • Guided, app-based interface on iOS and Android with PDF/CSV export to facilitate coaching from the respiratory therapist team
